Bayer Leverkusen forward, Victor Boniface, has his eyes set on a historic treble this season following the club’s Bundesliga title win.

Under the guidance of Xabi Alonso, Leverkusen secured their first ever Bundesliga crown after wrapping up a 5-0 win over Werder Bremen at the BayArena on Sunday.

Having already booked their place in the DFB-Pokal final against Kaiserslautern, Die Werkself are keen to add the domestic cup to their cabinet.

Furthermore, Leverkusen remain in contention for the UEFA Europa League title. They have a promising advantage in the competition, having defeated West Ham United 2-0 in the first leg of their quarter-final tie.

Speaking to soccernet, Boniface expressed the team’s ambition, saying, “Of course, we have two [more] important trophies we are aiming at. We are in the DFB-Pokal Cup final, and we are also in the [UEFA] Europa League quarter-finals. So it doesn’t stop here. We know we won the league, it’s a big achievement for us.”

Boniface continued, emphasizing the club’s relentless pursuit of success, “But we also have two things [trophies] we are aiming at. So if we can have the perfect three, of course we will celebrate more.”

Leverkusen’s remarkable season has put them in a prime position to clinch an unprecedented treble.
