Super Eagles Goalkeeper Francis Uzoho found himself once more on the bench as his club Omonia Nicosia secured a 4-1 win over Ethnikos Achna on Sunday.
Uzoho has struggled for game time this season with Brazilian goalkeeper Fabiano Freitas prefered in goal by the coach.
After 17 games across all competitions, Uzoho has not started a single match for Omonia Nicosia this season.
His sole on-field contribution was a 45-minute appearance in their 2-0 loss against Anorthosis prior to the last international break.
Surprisingly Uzoho’s poor run of games at his club has not jeopardized his position as the first-choice goalkeeper for Nigeria’s Super Eagles.
Head Coach Jose Peseiro remains steadfast in his support for the 26-year-old, asserting his untouchable status despite occasional high-profile errors.
