Tobi Amusan, the world record holder in the women’s 100m hurdles, gave her all in the final race at the World Athletics Championships.
Despite her best efforts, she finished in 6th place with a time of 12.62 seconds.
The race was won by Danielle Williams, the 2015 champion, who finished in 12.43 seconds. Jasmine Camacho-Quinn took the silver medal with a time of 12.44 seconds, closely followed by Keni Harrison who won the bronze medal with a time of 12.46 seconds.
Although Tobi Amusan didn’t achieve the result she had hoped for, as a two-time African and Commonwealth Games champion, she has shown her resilience and determination throughout her career.
Tobi Express, as she is fondly called, will undoubtedly come back even stronger in the future.
