Unlucky Fulham! Ola Aina believes Cottagers deserved more against Liverpool

Ola Aina said Fulham gave everything against champions Liverpool, but were unlucky not to pick the maximum points in Sunday’s premier league fixture.

Fulham started the game brightly and should have been three or four goals up in the first half against Liverpool at Craven Cottage, but goalkeeper Allison’s masterclass and couple of unforgivable misses kept the Reds in the game.

The Cottagers managed to go into half time break a goal up after Bobby Reid converted a pass from Ademola Lookman in the 25th minute.

Scott Parker’s side resumed the second half with same intensity, but were left to rue their poor finishing as Liverpool leveled the scores 12 minutes from time.

Mohammed Salah converted from the penalty spot kick after Fulham defender handed Gigi Wijnaldum’s free kick inside the box.

It was a missed opportunity for Fulham who are languishing at the relegation, but Aina was full of praises for his teammates.

“Unlucky not to take all 3 points last night. The boys done their ting, also great to have some of the fans back,” the Super Eagles star posted on Twitter his handle.

Fulham remain 18th on the table with just two wins, draws and 8 losses from 12 matches played this season.
