Nigerian fast-rising heavyweight boxer Raphael Akpejiori has set his sight on fighting either Tyson Fury or Dilian Whyte next year.
Raphael Akpejiori scored a first-round knockout against Steven Lyons in Miami on Saturday to take his professional records to 12-0.
The victory also means the Surelere born heavy puncher has total, has stopped all his 12 opponents inside the two round.
The unbeaten Nigerian delivered another display of his destructive power when he sent Steven Lyons crashing in the opening round in Miami.
Speaking after the fight, The 30-year-old said to Tyson Fury and Dillian Whyte, I am the fighters he wants next.
“Those are two guys I know I can step in the ring with and beat both of them, but my goal is to have the heavyweight belts in my hand. Once I’ve accomplished that, everything else will fall in place.”
“It’s pretty evident that when I touch people they kind of go to sleep,” Akpejiori said.
“I’m not oblivious to that fact, but I’m not focused on that.
“As Anthony Joshua says, ‘The right hand can take you around the block, but a jab can take you around the world.’ h said.
