Super Eagles and Real Sociedad striker Umar Sadiq is on the verge of joining Valencia on loan until the end of the season, with the LaLiga side retaining an option to make the transfer permanent in the summer.

Sadiq, who has struggled for form and fitness at Real Sociedad, is undergoing a medical in Valencia as he prepares to finalize the deal.

The Nigerian forward’s move represents a fresh start as he aims to reignite his career. In addition to helping Valencia in their battle against relegation.

Renowned transfer expert Fabrizio Romano confirmed the deal, stating:

Sadiq’s time at Real Sociedad has been marked by inconsistency and injuries.

After suffering a serious setback in his debut season, which limited him to just three appearances, he has since made only 14 starts in the past two seasons, scoring four goals across all competitions.

Frustrations over limited playing time and form have grown, with Sadiq failing to find the back of the net this season.

His only significant contribution came in the Europa League, where he registered an assist against Anderlecht.

Despite interest from Sevilla and Getafe, the 27-year-old has opted to join Valencia. Where he hopes to rediscover the form that once made him one of LaLiga’s standout strikers.

Valencia, currently languishing in 19th place in the LaLiga standings, has struggled offensively, managing just 16 goals all season.
