Former Nigerian international Nduka Ugbade has urged the super eagles players not to be complacent ahead their AFCONQ tie with the Lesotho national team.
The Super Eagles having qualified for the Afcon tournament in Cameroon next year will be playing their last game against Lesotho at the Teslim Balogun Stadium Lagos on Tuesday.
Ugbade while reacting to the game against Lesotho told brila.net that the Eagles players should not be complacent but give their best to beat Lesotho on the last game of the Nations cup qualifiers.
Ugbade added that Lesotho should not be called an under dog saying the eagles should learn from what transpired in that game they played against Sierra Leone that ended 4-4.
“There are no longer minors in football, so, Lesotho shouldn’t be counted as an underdog. As a team, all they ( Eagles) needed to do is complete their record by beating them (Lesotho).”
“Because this will place Nigeria high on the FIFA rankings, they should not joke with Lesotho and be complacent, we should look at what happened against sierra Leone,”
“Against Lesotho, the best team should be arranged, other players should be given opportunity to play and we should beat Lesotho very well to send message to others.”
