Coach of Nigeria’s U17 national team Nduka Ugbade has hailed the fighting spirit of the Golden Eaglets of Nigeria after fighting back twice to beat the Amajimbos of South Africa 3-2 to finish with six points out of a possible nine to qualify for the quarter final of the ongoing 2023 CAF Africa U17 cup of nations in Algeria.
Ugbade speaking in a chat with brila.net stressed that the players gave a good fight to have been able to overcome the early setback after conceding early in the game.
He however posited that there is the need to work on the team’s profligacy in front of goal and other grey areas so as not to get caught in the last eight which is the most important round of the competition been a world cup determining fixture.
