Chiamaka Nnadozie was the hero once again as her penalty save was crucial in helping Paris FC beat Wolfsburg and qualify for their first-ever UEFA Women’s Champions League group stage.
Paris FC came into the game knowing a win would be enough to take them to the lucrative Group phase after a 3-3 first leg draw.
The French side did just that, winning 2-0 to progress 5-3 on aggregate at the expense of the Germans who were the favorites.
Paris FC went ahead in the 38th minute through Julie Dufour, before Nnadozie stopped Dominique Janssen’s penalty to preserve her side’s lead on 61st minutes.
The penalty aside, Nnadozie made four crucial saves during the game.
Louise Fleury sent the French club through with a late winner and sealed their place in the group stage for the first time.
