Chiamaka Nnadozie was the hero once again as her penalty save was crucial in helping Paris FC beat Wolfsburg and qualify for their first-ever UEFA Women’s Champions League group stage.

Paris FC came into the game knowing a win would be enough to take them to the lucrative Group phase after a 3-3 first leg draw.

The French side did just that, winning 2-0 to progress 5-3 on aggregate at the expense of the Germans who were the favorites.

Paris FC went ahead in the 38th minute through Julie Dufour, before Nnadozie stopped Dominique Janssen’s penalty to preserve her side’s lead on 61st minutes.

The penalty aside, Nnadozie made four crucial saves during the game.

Louise Fleury sent the French club through with a late winner and sealed their place in the group stage for the first time.

Nnadozie, who also saves two penalties against Arsenal in the first round would be proud of her achievements this year.

Also, the 22-year-old was impressive in this year’s FIFA Women’s World Cup with the Super Falcons of Nigeria.

She helped her country reach the knock out phase, keeping three clean sheets in the process.
