Udogie scores as rampant Udinese cruise past Fiorentina
23
Isaac Success featured in Udinese’s emphatic 4-0 win over Fiorentina in a rescheduled Serie A game game on Wednesday.
Success started his 21st game of the season for Udinese, but despite an impressive performance, he couldn’t get his name on the scoresheet before the Coach decided to take him off on the hour mark.
Without one of the best players contributing though, Udinese were coasting and Pablo Mari gave them a good start, scoring the opener after just Twelve minutes.
Fiorentina while searching for an equaliser, poured forward, but it left them wide open at the back and the visitors capitalized with a classic counter-attack.
19 year-old Nigerian Italian-born defender Destiny Udogie sprinted away and his strike was parried by Pietro Terracciano into the path of Gerard Deulofeu for 2-0.
After the break, Udogie almost found the third, but his header crashed against the back post.
Eventually the third goal will come and it was in stoppage. Substitute, Wallace hit a well take shot that took a deflection off Igor to completely leave Terracciano wrong-footed.
In the final moments of the game, Udogie was rewarded for all his effort in the game.
His goal was an easy in to make it 4-0, connecting a cross from the left side of midfield from Jean-Victor Makengo.
