AC Milan winger Samuel Chukwueze has given his teammates valuable insight into the playing style of Bayer Leverkusen striker and Nigerian compatriot, Victor Boniface, ahead of their UEFA Champions League clash at the BayArena, on Tuesday.
Boniface has emerged as a key figure for Leverkusen since joining the Bundesliga side last summer.
Milan star Rafael Leao confirmed that Chukwueze has shared key details about Boniface’s abilities.
Leao, speaking to AC Milan’s official website, praised Boniface as a formidable opponent, describing him as “a technical and very dangerous attacker.”
“I know Boniface; he’s a technical and very dangerous attacker,” Leao said. “Chukwueze, his international teammate, has spoken highly of him this week.”
The Portuguese forward added that Milan must be well-prepared, not just for Boniface, but for the entire Leverkusen team, stating that players such as Grimaldo and Frimpong are equally dangerous.
“We will need to be prepared to face their entire team because they play well across the pitch. Even their wide players, Grimaldo and Frimpong, are very dangerous.
“They deserve our attention and respect, but we can’t allow them to intimidate us,” Leao added.
