UCL: Harry Kane returns to Tottenham training ahead of Real Madrid clash

Harry Kane has returned to training ahead of Tottenham’s crunch clash with Real Madrid on Wednesday.

The Englishman sat out last week’s EFL Cup loss to West Ham before missing the defeat to Manchester United at the weekend too.

Kane limped off towards the end of Spurs’ 4-1 thumping of Liverpool a weekend before after scoring twice following a twinge to his hamstring but could now feature in the home Champions League game with Madrid.

The striker was able to complete some short sprints and basic passing drills at Hotspur Way while at one point he made a hand gesture appearing to suggest he felt fine.

“We’re very confident,” Pochettino said. “He’s on the list. Maybe it’s possible for him to play but I don’t want to say 100 percent. He trained today but it is important we make the right decision.”

Kane’s return at Wembley would represent a massive boost for Tottenham given the 24-year-old has scored five goals in his three European games so far.
