Nigeria U-23 players in their Abuja camp are crying over the non-payment of matches bonuses and allowances.
The Olympic Eagles who have played several matches and have qualified the country for Egypt U23 AFCON cried out for their bonuses and match allowances.
One of the players who pleaded anonymity told brila.net’s Mohammed Saliu exclusively that he had turned to another means of recouping his match bonuses and allowances, during weekends.
”Tuesdays and Wednesdays are my days to gamble and get something for myself since the management of the national team doesn’t want to pay us our match bonuses and allowances,” he said.
Meanwhile, the team will be heading for Egypt on the 29th of October next week on Tuesday to intensify effort for the U23 AFCON games in Egypt.
Nigeria will play Namibia, Cote d’Ivoire, and South Africa in group B to qualify for the Tokyo 2020 Olympics.
