Nigeria and nine other Countries have booked their places for the 2025 U20 Africa Cup of Nations as qualification across various regions continues.
In the WAFU B tournament, both Nigeria and Ghana secured their tickets to the continental tournament, joining the growing list of qualified teams.
The Flying Eagles, who are the defending champions of the WAFU B tournament, defeated Niger to reach the final on Sunday, sealing their qualification for the U20 AFCON.
While earlier on Sunday, the Black Satellites of Ghana edged past Ivory Coast with a 2-1 victory to not only qualify for the final but also earn a spot at the U20 AFCON.
Qualified Teams So Far
In addition to Nigeria and Ghana from WAFU B, several other nations have also secured qualification through various regional competitions:
West Zone A: Senegal, Sierra Leone
Central-East Zone: Kenya, Tanzania
Central Zone: Congo, DR Congo
Southern Zone: South Africa, Zambia
With these latest additions, the total number of qualified teams stands at 10.
Two more countries from the North Zone will complete the final lineup for the 2025 U20 AFCON.
