U20 AFCON: Bosso wary of ‘Unbeaten’ Gambia

The Flying Eagles will leave no stone upturned, according to head Coach Ladan Bosso, as the team prepares for their semi-final clash at the U20 Africa Cup of Nations.

Bosso insists his side must be at their best to win the match, adding that Gambia will be a difficult nut to crack.

The Gambians are unbeaten so far in the competition, and they booked a spot in the last four after a 5-0 win against South Sudan.

On the other hand, Nigeria secured their last four spot with a 1-0 win against Uganda, in Ismailia’s Suez Canal Authority Stadium.

“I’m happy to be back in Cairo once again, after we played the last two matches in Ismailia,” Bosso said.

“We will face The Gambia, who are a strong team, and we respect them well, but we will work to present a good level to win.

“We lost the first match and we have not lost any match since then.”

The Flying Eagles have won the competition seven times, but, they last won the tournament at the edition hosted by Senegal in 2015.
