The fight lasted the entire 8 rounds and while most fans saw the folly in Tyson’s dream of a victory, his performance was celebrated.

However, there were a many more who thought the former World Champion disappointed.

Two-time undisputed World Champion, Terence Crawford shared his thoughts about the fight, on social media, calling it “trash”.

“I love Mike Tyson, but they giving him too much credit. He looked like trash, to train that long and only throw 97 punches the whole fight is crazy. I’m just glad he didn’t get hurt out there.”

Crawford

Crawford’s review also received mixed reactions and most bashed the boxer.

Media personality, Piers Morgan posted:

Prime @MikeTyson would have destroyed @jakepaul in 90 seconds. A 58yr-old Tyson went 8 rounds against a much fitter and very capable boxer half his age. Mock him all you like, but Mike’s got the heart of a lion, balls of steel, and will always be an absolute legend.

The fight took place, Friday, at the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.

Jake Paul won by unanimous decision with the score card by all three judges showing a pretty comfortable win for the YouTube celeb: 80-72, 79-73 and 79-73, to improve his record to 11-1, 7 KOs.

A sanctioned fight by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation, it was contested at 2-minute rounds, and both fighters wore 14-ounce gloves instead of the regular 10-ounce gloves for heavyweight fights.

Jake Paul will reportedly earn $40 million for his victory, Mike Tyson pocketed $20 million.
