William Troost-Ekong was the fall guy on Friday as his club Bursaspor lost 1-0 at home to Super Log title chasing Fenerbahçe.
Ekong tripped Roberto Soldado inside the box leaving the Referee with no option but to award a penalty.
It was a battle of two players with a Tottenham past for much of the encounter soon as Soldado was introduced in the first half after Dutch forward Vincent Janssen picked up an injury.
Bursaspor who had been on a run of 10 games without a defeat were solid against their more illustrious opponents and were doing a good job keeping them at bay.

However, on 64 minutes the visitors probed the right side of the Bursaspor defence and managed to get a low cross pas three player.
Ekong attempted a block but caught Soldado – who had the advantage – leaving the Spaniard reeling to the ground as the defender’s boot chipped his ankle rather than the ball.
Brazilian, Giuliano stepped forward and converted to punish the Nigeria International’s poor decision – although Ekong escaped a booking.
