Nigerian CB, William Troost-Ekong netted his first goal for Al-Kholood in their 4-2 home loss to Al-Hilal.
Ekong converted a penalty three minutes from full time, narrowing the gap for the home side.
The 31-year-old has featured in five league matches since his summer transfer from Greek club PAOK Salonika.
Al-Hilal had built a commanding 4-0 lead with goals from Kalidou Koulibaly, Malcolm, Ali Al Bulahyi, and Renan Lodi.
Al-Khalood have struggled this season, managing just one win in the Saudi Pro League.
They sit in 12th place with four points from five matches.
Elsewhere, Odion Ighalo’s Al Wehda fell 2-0 at home to Al Nassr.
Ighalo, who played 68 minutes without scoring, has found the net once in five league appearances this season.
