Turkish giants, Besiktas, are reportedly considering Super Eagles attacker Kelechi Iheanacho as the replacement for Everton-bound Cenk Tosun.
A deal for the former Manchester City player Iheanacho was due to Tosun’s agreement to a switch from the reigning Super Lig champion to the Premier League outfit in a deal worth around £20m.
The 26-year-old Turkish forward has simply been phenomenal for the club, hitting the net 14 times with three assists thus far.
Iheanacho, meanwhile, has struggled since his switch to Leicester City in the summer.
The Nigerian, who joined the Foxes from Manchester City for an equivalent fee of £20m, was heralded for big things at the King Power.
But that hasn’t happened with Iheanacho struggling for game time.
Just twice has the ex-Citizen prodigy started in the league and only once has he scored in all competitions.
A potential move to Turkey could be perfect for both parties.
Iheanacho is seemingly desperate for game time, especially with the FIFA World Cup on the horizon.
In Besiktas, he could be handed the opportunities that eluded him at Leicester.
More importantly, the extra incentive of Champions League football should stimulate the Nigerian.
