Turkish Super Lig side Trabzonspor have initiated discussions with Southampton over the permanent transfer of forward Paul Onuachu.

The Nigerian currently on a season-long loan at the Turkish Super Lig club, has impressed with 14 goals and four assists in 20 league appearances.

Trabzonspor President Ertuğrul Doğan is leading the negotiations, aiming to secure Onuachu’s services beyond the current season.

Reports from Ntvspor indicate that Southampton have set a €15 million price tag for the 29-year-old striker.

Onuachu joined Southampton in January 2022 but struggled to find his form at the English club, prompting his loan move to Trabzonspor last summer.

His performance in Turkey has convinced Trabzonspor of his value, and they are keen to make the move permanent.

The former Genk forward has 14 goals and 4 assists for Trabzonspor this season.
