Trabzonspor Forward Nwakaeme ready to turn it up against Besiktas

Trabzonspor are not where they want to be in the Turkish Super Lig, 11th in the table, six points from five games and 8 points behind league leaders Alanyanspor.

On Sunday Trabzonspor go up against Besiktas, another team having a slow start to the new season, but are just a point behind the Black Sea Storm.

Previewing the game, which goes down at the Medical Park Stadium, Forward Anthony Nwakaeme told brila.net his side are “a bit down”.

Nwakaeme is yet to open to his goals account for the league season, last term he scored 10 goals in 27 league appearances; one against Sunday’s opponents in a 2-2 draw.

“I am happy here with my performance in Turkey and it has been just as good in one season like my years in Israel,” the forward said.

“We’ve been a bit down, it has not been very easy. We have a game at the against Besiktas and in the Europa League against Basel; a Swiss side, and with the days drawing near we are getting ready.”

The last meeting between the sides ended in a home win for Trabzon, a similar outcome they will be hoping for Today.
