Trabzonspor head coach, Abdullah Avci has dismissed speculations surrounding Paul Onuachu’s injury status following the club’s Turkish Cup semi-final win against Fatih Karagumruk on Wednesday.

Onuachu, played a pivotal role in Trabzon’s 4-0 victory, scoring the opening goal in the 54th minute.

However, he was forced off the field just three minutes later due to an injury sustained during an aerial challenge.

Speaking in the post game, however, Avci swiftly moved to quash any serious injury concerns to the player.

“We learned that it is not a serious condition, it is a spasm-like condition. I think he will be ready by the end of the week,” as reported by Taka Gazette.

Trabzonspor is set to face Besiktas in the cup final, seeking their tenth triumph in the competition and will hope to have Onuachu available for the clash.
