Super Eagles midfielder, Wilfred Ndidi provided an assist but also scored an unfortunate own goal as Leicester City suffered a late 4-2 defeat to Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium, on Saturday.

Leicester, still searching for their first win of the season, faced a challenging match against Arsenal.

The game tilted in Arsenal’s favor early on, with Gabriel Martinelli opening the scoring in the 20th minute.

Leandro Trossard then doubled the lead just before halftime, putting the Gunners firmly in control.

However, Leicester City mounted a spirited comeback in the second half, with James Justin netting a brace to level the score at 2-2.

Just when it seemed like the game would end in a draw, heartbreak struck in stoppage time when, in the fourth minute of added time, Ndidi scored an own goal, giving Arsenal the lead.

Kai Havertz then sealed the victory with another goal in the ninth minute of extra time, ensuring a 4-2 win for the home side.

Ndidi, who was substituted after playing 89 minutes, had an average individual performance despite the result.

He created one big chance, completed 20 out of 23 accurate passes, and recorded the most tackles in the match with five.

Leicester City will continue their search for a first league win of the season when they face Bournemouth next at the King Power Stadium.
