Top seed Aruna Quadri out of Commonwealth Games

Nigeria’s Aruna Quadri failed to make it to medal zone in the Men’s Table tennis event of the ongoing Commonwealth Games in Birmingham.

Quadri was seeded as number one and favorite for the gold medal, but lost in the quarter-final of the event.

He was beaten by England’s Paul Drinkhall by 4-1 who also led the English men’s team to vital victory over Nigeria in the bronze medal Match.

The table tennis team has now failed to win a single medal, despite competing in multiple events.
