Tom Dele-Bashiru opened his goal account for Reading in Tuesday’s English Championship League against Peterborough.
The midfielder scored twice to guide his team to a flawless 3-1 win at the Select Car Leasing Stadium last night.
After a goalless first half, Reading went in from four minutes after an hour mark when John Swift breached the opposition’s defense.
Tom-Bashiru made it 2-0 four minutes later when he converted a pass from his midfield partner George Puscas.
Joe Ward teed up Nathan Thompson to reduce the deficit for the visitors in the 74th minute, but Tom-Dele-Bashiru killed the hope of a comeback when he completed his brace in the 88th minute.
Reading secured the victory and increased their points tally to 7 from the same number of matches.
