Nigerian forward, Tolu Arokodare has expressed his delight in contributing to KRC Genk’s success, regardless of how the goals are scored.
Arokodare netted one of the goals in Genk’s 4-0 victory over Dender last weekend.
The striker took seven attempts before finally finding the back of the net, bringing his tally to six goals, making him the joint-top scorer in the Belgian Pro League.
Reflecting on his goal, Arokodare told HBVL: “It wasn’t my best goal, but that doesn’t matter. A goal is a goal.”
He described the play as a bit messy but happy to contribute to the team’s success.
“Whether through scoring or doing other things to benefit the team, what matters most is helping the team win,” he added.
