Head Coach of Super Sport United Eric Tinkler has resigned his position with immediate effect according to the PSL club.
Tinkler replaced Stuart Baxter as Coach in June of 2017, went ahead to win a domestic cup and led them to the final of the 2016/17 CAF Confederation Cup.
The South African signed Nigeria International, Azubuike Egwuekwe last year to bolster the club’s defence.
Azubuike has made 11 league appearances for the club and scored two goals.
However, the PSL team have been a poor this season; failing to win in any of their last four games in all competition and hovering dangerously above the relegation zone.
The Coach admits the team’s performance has been poor and “it seems best for all parties that we part ways,” he told club’s official twitter handle.
Super Sport United also announced assistant Coach Kaitano Tembo as caretaker handler.
