Former Flying Eagles forward Tijani Muhamed scored twice in Plymouth Argyle FC’s 5-2 preseason win over Cheltenham.

The EFL Championship side, now under the management of former Manchester United forward Wayne Rooney, recently signed Muhamed on a season-long loan deal with an option to buy.

The 24-year-old netted the third goal of the match in the first half and opened the scoring in the second half.

His contributions were crucial in securing the victory for the EFL Championship side.

Other players who found the back of the net for Plymouth included Dutch forward Ibrahim Cissoko, Morgan Whittaker, and Ryan Hardie.

Tijani had earlier praised the former Manchester legend Wayne Rooney for his influence in joining the club.

“Wayne Rooney is a football legend, not only in England but worldwide. As a striker, I believe it’s a good move for me, and he really influenced my decision.

“When he called, I was shocked and had to confirm it was really him. We had a great conversation, and I was convinced to join,” Tijani told OJB Sport.
