Ikechukwu Ezenwa has joined Heartland FC for the new season and the goalkeeper is already telling the fans what they need to hear.
Ezenwa spent last season with Katsina United, but opted to move on and favored a return to his former side on a two-year deal.
The five times League champions have been poor in recent times, relegate in 2016 and without a major silverware since 2012.
So, Ezenwa’s acquisition comes a breath of fresh air for the fans and the goalkeeper, who has 24 caps with Nigeria, wants the club to match the ambitions of the big sides.
“I am here to give a good account of myself in the field of play,” He was quoted by the club.
“I am hoping for the best while in Owerri, and I am full of positive anticipation that we would grab a ticket and head to the continent again.”
