Coach Emmanuel Amuneke is optimistic about Super Super Eagles chances of playing at the Qatar 2022 FIFA World Cup.
In a chat with brila.net on Monday, Amuneke who is the new Chief Coach of the team, admits the game will be a close one, but expects the Eagles to scale through.
Nigeria and Ghana will clash for the first leg in Cape Coast on March 25th, before hosting the Black Stars four days at the Moshood Abiola in Abuja.
“We are confident of qualification,but we must thread with caution . ” Amuneke said .
“Let’s hope our players remain in good shape for the game and do our work carefully.”
“We have played Ghana many times and you know how difficult it is to beat them .”
“Buy God’s grace, we’ll get the job done and qualify for the World Cup in Qatar.” Amuneke told brila.net
Nigeria and Ghana have met 56 times — with Blacks Stars winning 25 to Nigeria’s 12 ,while 19 meetings ended in a draw.
