Former Nigerian midfilder Mutiu Adepoju has hailed the Super Eagles for holding their own against five times world champions Brazil on Sunday.
The Gernot Rohr’men played out 1-1 draw against the South American champions at the Kallang National Stadium in Singapore, a result that earned the players praises from Nigeria’s soccer faithfuls.
However former International and Real Madrid midfilder, Adepoju who is popularly known as headmaster in his active days , said the draw tasted like victory and charge the team not to rest on their oars ahead of future tasks.
Adepoju also went further, via his Twitter, handle @mutiuadepoju8, described the performance as a sign of good things.
“Well-done brave SuperEagles! This draw looks like a win and I believe this is a sign of good things to come for our senior national team.
“Also, there are lots of lessons to take home against Brazil and that is very important”. He said.
