Super Eagles forward Terem Moffi was on target for OGC Nice in their final preseason outing on Wednesday.
The French side wrapped up preparations with a thrilling 3-2 victory over Sheffield United at the club’s training centre.
Moffi, who appears fully recovered from the anterior cruciate ligament injury that ruled him out for most of last season, showcased his quality with a well-taken goal in the second half.
The 26-year-old curled home a brilliant strike from 20 yards out to restore Nice’s lead just after the hour mark.
The Nigerian international had suffered the long-term injury during a preseason fixture against CD Leganés last year, keeping him out of action for over eight months.
He returned late in the 2024/25 campaign, managing five appearances before the season concluded.
Now back to full fitness and reintegrated into team training, Moffi is expected to play a central role in Franck Haise’s plans for the 2025/26 season.
Nice finished fourth in Ligue 1 last term, earning a place in the UEFA Champions League playoff round.
They are set to battle Portuguese giants SL Benfica over two legs (scheduled for August 6 and 12) for a spot in the competition’s group stage.
Moffi is tipped to lead the line for Les Aiglons in the crucial ties.
