Super Eagles forward Terem Moffi net a brace as Nice drew 2-2 with Basel in the UEFA Conference League first leg quarter final on Thursday.
The 22-year-old got the brace in the first-half to take his tally to 3 goals in his first 3 European matches for OGC Nice.
The game started with high intensity and Basel took the lead in the 26th minute, courtesy of Zeki Amdouni’s penalty.
Moffi then equalised for Nice in the 38th minutes.
The Nigerian then stunned the arena by making it 2-1 for Nice in the first half stoppage time when he netted a fantastic overhead kick.
Moffi connected perfectly with a delightful cross with a superb left-foot and blasted it to the roof of the net, with the goalkeeper left stranded.
The brace however took Moffi’s goal tally for the 19 across all competitions
Meanwhile, the home side however restored parity in the 71st minute and deservedly earn a draw.
Both teams will meet again for the second leg next week Thursday in France.
