Captain of Team Nigeria’s contingent to the just concluded Africa Table Tennis Federation Junior and Cadet championship in Ghana Azeez Solanke has expressed delight at the team’s achievement after leading the boys’ team over the line yesterday.
Solanke speaking in a chat with www.brila.net all the way from Accra said the team gave their all and thanked the coaches in the team for their effort in the build-up until the tournament proper.
“I am excited with what we have been able to achieve here in Ghana. The boys won 3-0 at the junior and cadet level picking up Gold although our girls finish second to pick silver in the junior and cadet level.”
Nigeria’s contingent have hereby picked qualification for the International Table Tennis Federation world junior and cadet championship in Thailand after the team’s impressive showing making the cut to feature in the final of both categories.
