CB Tanimu Benjamin says he is delighted to fulfill a lifelong dream by donning the jersey of the Super Eagles.
Tanimu, who received his first invitation to the team in 2023, finally made his debut as he featured in Nigeria’s 2-1 triumph over Ghana in a friendly match held in Morocco on Friday.
Expressing his elation over the milestone, the defender said, “My joy knows no bounds. The debut came, and I thank God for the grace to play my part in the little way I could.”
“Thanks to my wonderful fans across the world, the lovely Nigerians who have expressed their love and have given me their support all years.” He also praised the Nigerian media for their coverage and support, urging everyone to continue backing the Eagles.
“For me, this is a dream come true. Let the Eagle fly,” he concluded.
