Kwara United Midfielder Tamara Ezekiel admits the club’s slow start to the 2022-2023 Nigeria Premier Football League is surprising.
Kwara United are second from bottom in Group A after a win, two draws and four defeats from seven league matches.
The poor form that led to the resignation of Coach Mohammed Abdulazeez who replaced Coach Abdullahi Biffo.
“It was shocking, I can’t lie to you, we were hopeful coming into the season, because we have worked so hard, training and learning tactical tricks from the technical crew”,
“It’s a shame it didn’t work out as planned, the work did not show on the pitch but it’s unfortunate that Coach had to go. I must confess, he’s a good man, who gave his all to the team. He worked hard to turn things around but you know football is like that sometimes.” Tamara told www.brila.net
Following Mohammed Abdulazeez’ resignation, the Harmony Boys have hired Kabir Dogo and he’s expected to help fortune around.
Dogo’s first game is a tough trip to Ikenne, where they’ll face in form Remo Stars.
“We have to go there with full confident, and play out game,
“They are good side, very strong at home, but we also have qualities in our team as well.”

Tamara has featured his five games for Kwara United this season, starting four of them.
