Taiwo Awoniyi’s Return Date Certain — Santo

Nottingham Forest manager, Nuno Espirito Santo addressed the situation of Nigerian forward Taiwo Awoniyi, who has been sidelined due to injury.
During Friday’s press conference, Santo revealed that Awoniyi, is showing signs of progress in his recovery.
Despite this positive development, Awoniyi will not be available for the upcoming fixture against Everton.
The Forward has been out of action for the past five Premier League games, however he returned to light training and is expected to rejoin the team in the coming days.
Awoniyi has been plagued by a reoccurring injury that also prevented his participation in the African Cup of Nations earlier this year.
This is the third time this season that the Nigerian striker has been sidelined due to fitness issues.
Despite the setbacks, Santo remains hopeful that Awoniyi will be able to available for the team in the remaining matches of the season.
“Taiwo hasn’t joined the group yet. He is still partially integrated into the group,” Santo stated ahead of his side’s trip to Everton this weekend.
The former Union Berlin striker could be involve in next game against Manchester City.
