Nigeria’s new head coach, Eric Chelle, will be under pressure to deliver, as the Super Eagles look to bounce back from their slow start.

Nigeria will take on Rwanda on Friday in Kigali before facing Zimbabwe in Uyo on March 25.

With their World Cup hopes hanging in the balance, the Super Eagles will need to win all remaining matches and turn their fortunes around in the upcoming qualifiers.

Nigeria, currently fifth in the standings, will be looking to kickstart their qualification campaign with a strong performance in Kigali.

The two players who are yet to report to the Eagles camp are Sadiq Umar and Alhassan Yusuf Abdullahi.

Ogbu’s coach at Slavia Prague, Jindřich Trpišovský, believes the Nigerian defender is vastly underrated in the market.

With the latest additions, head coach Eric Chelle now has 12 players in camp, with more expected to join by Tuesday morning.

“He wants to be at the World Cup, and he even dreams of winning the World Cup,” Efoghe said. “Additionally, he wants to win the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in December.”

He went further to say “Although with the kind of attacking team we have, we should not worry
about winning AFCON and doing the job. Part of the job is being humble”.

Osimhen has scored 23 goals in 32 caps for the Super Eagles. He currently tops the Turkish Super Lig’s goal scoring chart with 20 goals in 22 games.
