Standard Liege manager Ronny Deila says he regrets the decision to pass on the chance to sign striker Victor Boniface.
Super Eagles and Standard Liege of Belgium midfielder, Uche Henry Agbo has lost his biological mother in the city of Enugu, Nigeria.
The Kano-born footballer is currently in Enugu as a result of the death of his mother which according to a close source passed away in a sleep.
Elder brother to Uche, Oliver Agbo speaking to our correspondent in Enugu about the unfortunate incident said, “We have lost our mum. She didn’t deserve to die now because she suffered to raise us up but did not reap the fruit of her labour.”
He went on to add that it was even more unfortunate because of the support she gave them to become footballers in the family.
The former Jigawa Golden Stars midfielder recalled she supported he and his three brothers in their football career.
He said, “All of us in the family are footballers. She believed in our talent and encouraged us with the little money she had to buy boots and any other football kits we needed.
“It’s still like a dream that my mum is no more because she was not sick.”
