The win moved Milan up to eighth in the Serie A table, just three points behind fourth-placed Juventus, keeping their hopes of European qualification alive.

Chukwueze has been linked with a move away from Milan in the summer transfer window, as he seeks more regular playing time elsewhere.

With Champions League qualification now out of reach, the club is preparing for a significant summer rebuild and Chukwueze appears to be one of the casualties.

Across all competitions since his arrival, Chukwueze has managed just eight goals and four assists in 65 appearances, a return that has raised eyebrows at Milan.

Chukwueze joined the Rossoneri from Spanish side Villarreal in the summer of 2023, but the move has not gone as expected.
