Bafana Bafana of South Africa came to Nigeria for the opening 2019 African Cup of Nations qualifier, beat the Super Eagles at home and deservedly grabbed the three points at stake against a poor, gutless and disorganised host.
It says a lot that a first ever competitive loss to South Africa – on home soil, for that matter – was not the worst thing to come out Saturday’s bleak outing in Uyo.
