After helping his side record a win against Abia warriors in a fierce derby game over the weekend, Enyimba midfielder, Dayo Ojo has spoken to us about his injury and recovery.
The goalless draw played against Akwa United on Monday at the ongoing NPFL Championship Playoffs has been described as a fantastic game by Lobi Stars midfielder, Dare Ojo.
Lobi Stars Midfielder, Dare Ojo has declared that the abridged format of the NPFL should never be adopted again.
Making this declaration in a chat with brila.net, Dare noted that the abridged league format is no respecter of big teams as any of the big teams could slip and get relegated.
“My season was a good one but I hope we never have the abridged league ever again. It is not a good one because the format could cause a big team to be relegated just like that. Never again.”
Dare also talked about the Matchday 22 game against Remo Stars which ended goalless and noted that although they planned to get all 3 points, getting a draw was good as well.
“I thank God for the League, we approached the game against Remo the same way we take all other games. The plan was 3 points and we ended up getting just 1 But no problem.”
Dare Ojo spoke of how his side has been able to fulfill the target of a Super 6 spot noting that the legacy of their late coach, Solomon Ogbeide has been fulfilled.
“Most of all I’m happy we fulfilled our target and aim which was qualifying for the super 6. The legacy our late coach left for us is to find our way back to the continent each season. We will now try to actualize this in the playoff.”
Lobi stars Midfielder Dare Ojo has stated categorical concerning the present plight of Lobi Stars not doing well at the moment in the League and the Precarious situation they are in in the CAF champions league.
Dare in a Phone call interview with brila.net expressed deep concern in their present situation saying:
”we have to go back to the drawing board and work hard, it’s going to be difficult but I hope on God, we are playing against a good side that is very organized team (Wydad) we have to hope on God”.
Lobi stars FC are yet to win a game in the NPFL league also in tight corner in the champions league after loosing to Wydad Casablanca at home by a lone goal.
Lobi Stars new boys Sunday Adetunji and Dare Ojo have been quality buys and an improvement to the strength of the squad according to Ebube Duru.
