Coach Leke Oyede has expressed optimism as Nigeria’s U-19 female cricket team gears up for the 2025 International Cricket Council Women’s U-19 World Cup qualifiers scheduled to take place in Rwanda this August.
In a disappointing start to their campaign at the International Cricket Council’s T20 Men’s World Cup Qualifier, the Nigerian males Cricket team, known as the Yellow-Greens, suffered a defeat to Kenya by four wickets on Thursday.
After defeating Rwanda by nine runs in Lagos on Sunday, Nigeria’s senior Women’s Cricket team, the Female Yellow Greens, were declared winner of the 2023 Nigeria Cricket Federation Women’s T20i event.
