Former MFM midfielder Onuwa Chukwuka was the hero in the Nigeria Professional Football League matchday 8 clash between Enyimba Football Club of Aba and Remo Stars, as he came off the bench to net the only goal of the game.
Enyimba welcome the Sky Blues to the Enyimba International Stadium in Aba on Sunday and were hoping to get their second win in a roll for the first time this season.
The People’s Elephant however struggled to break down the Kennedy Boboye’s boys who are desperate for points after just a single so far in the week eight old season.
However , Coach Usman Abdallah decided to send his summer signing on and the midfielder did just that as he finished off a move he started, combining with striker Ibrahim Mustapha to tap home his first Enyimba goal and secure maximum points on another day.

Onuwa and Okorom has attracted suitors having proved they are capable of making any team in the country a formidable side with quality performances for MFM in recent time.
MFM Coach Fidelis Ilechukwu confirmed months back that the pin-sized Onuwa is interested in quitting the Lagos based team for financial reasons but it remained to be seen if the interest of the People’s Elephants will materialised.
Okorom was on target for MFM yesterday in their 4-1 pre season win over Abubakar Bala’s Kwara United.
Enyimba lost Captain Mfon Udoh to Akwa United and are also in battle to retain the services of Stanley Dimgba and Super Eagles goalkeeper Theophilos Afelokhai for next season.
The 2018 CAF Confederations Cup semi-finalists are reportedly keen to get the deal for Okorom and Onuwa over the line before the closure of the transfer window.
