Syli Nationale star Naby Keita looks fit and ready to help Guinea shutdown Nigeria in Group B of the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations.

Keita who suffered a high-grade adductor injury – rupturing his tendon – in May was ruled out for the remainder of the season, just weeks before the AFCON.

 

The 24 year-old captain was a major doubt for Guinea in the competition after as he was initially ruled out for two months.

 

But Head Coach Paul Put ensured the player received further examination on the extent of his injury.

 

Hence, the player’s recovery and rehabilitation was accelerated and he has since joined his teammates in practice sessions as captured by the CAF media team.

 

 

 

Guinea face Nigeria on June 26 at the Alexandria Stadium in the second round of group matches.
