Former Manchester United forward Wayne Rooney will return to England’s Three Lion squad for what will be his Wembley farewell.
Rooney, 33, will be given a late run-out against USA later this month in the international friendly.
The former Three Lions captain will also train with the group as they prepare for the Nations League game with Croatia as part of a farewell tribute to England’s record scorer, John Cross [Mirror].
But Rooney will not captain England with the formal announcement of his return due out on Sunday.
It will be the United Legend’s 120th cap for his country as a farewell he never got after Gareth Southgate curtailed his England career.
