Super Falcons to take part in Pre-World Cup tournament in Turkey

Nigeria’s WNT, Super Falcons, will continue preparations for the Women World Cup with another invitational tournament in Turkey.

The tournament is slated for April, 2023 and Costa Rica alongside Colombia are the two other countries penciled down for the tournament.

BRL gathered the competition will run from April 15 to 21, and will serve as part of the warm up for the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup to be co-hosted by Australia and New Zealand.

Recalled Randy Waldrum’s side emerged as the winner of the Turkish Women’s Cup invitational tournament in February 2021.

The multiple African Champions beat Equitorial Guinea, Uzbekistan and CSKA Moscow Women to lift the tournament.

Meanwhile Super Falcons are currently in Mexico, taking part in another four-nation invitational tournament tagged, Revelation Cup.

Falcons will take on the host, Mexico in their first game in the competition on Wednesday night.
