Nigerian international and Super Falcons striker Ifeoma Onumonu has signed a two-year contract with Montpellier HSC, ahead of the 2024-2025 French women’s football league campaign.
The 30-year-old forward makes the move after her departure from Utah Royals in the USA’s National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL).
Ifeoma Onumonu becomes the first Nigerian to join the Montpellier women’s team, which finished 6th in the Arkema Première Division last season.
She will now compete alongside fellow Super Falcons players Chiamaka Nnadozie, Tosin Demehin, and Rofiat Imoran, who are also playing in France’s elite women’s league.
