Since then, Okobi has continued to make her mark on the football field, balancing her personal life with her career.

A key player for Nigeria, Okobi has earned significant accolades, including four African Women’s Nations Cup titles.

Her journey with the national team began at the youth level, where she stood out in the 2008 and 2010 FIFA U17 Women’s World Cups, as well as the 2012 FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup.

At the senior level, Okobi has been a crucial part of the Super Falcons’ success, contributing to their victories in the 2010 and 2014 African Women’s Championships. She also represented Nigeria at the 2015 FIFA Women’s World Cup.

Despite her illustrious career, Okobi was notably absent from the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup squad in Australia and New Zealand, a decision made by former coach Randy Waldrum.

Since then, she has yet to return to the national team and it seems she might have played her last game in the green and white jersey.
