Super Falcons Received Adequate Support- Gusau

NFF President, Ibrahim Gusau has told BRL that the Federation did every thing within its means to give the Super Falcons a decent preparation for the 2023 Women’s World Cup.

The Super Falcons have booked a place in the round of 16, and the NFF Chief insists its testament to how much work was done in the background.

“We know we did our best to make sure that we prepared them for the tournament,” the NFF Chief told BRL.

“We gave them the chance in Mexico to play three Countries that were also participating at the World Cup. They also went to Turkey to play another two countries that were also there for the World Cup.

“So, that tells you how prepared they are, because all the teams that we engage them to play with during their preparation were teams that were World Cup-bound.

“We tried to make sure that they were in Australia at least two weeks before the commencement of the tournament, which gave them a very big advantage by having to acclimatize and become used to the weather.”
